Another day to explore the SAFARI ZONE in search of more APPLIN to add to the draciary's various habitats. The possibility to crossbreed certain types and create something new was exciting. As Remiel treks across the forested terrain below, however, a CORVIKNIGHT scouts from above.[break][break]

HEMINGWAY is appreciative of the chance to stretch his wings. The large crow uses its splendid eyesight to track various Pokémon. Unless it is the apple his master is looking for, however, or a particularly aggressive Pokémon, it doesn't descend.[break][break]

In a battle of aerial dominance, the WOOBAT doesn't stand a chance. Its SIMPLE mind cannot hope to keep up with the cleverness of the Corviknight's tactics. It is outpaced, outgunned, and out of its element the moment it tries to KNOCK OFF the larger bird.[break][break]

The moment a STEEL WING strikes the bat, it is flung backward so far that Remiel loses track of it in an instant. But it was no matter to the prince. He did not wish to capture it anyway.[break][break]

Hemingway inspects the yellow ROOKIDEE closely on a branch they have perched themselves upon. The smaller bird doesn't flinch away from his curious glare, however. Frankly, the Corviknight is impressed.[break][break]

Proud of the unique coloring of its plumage, the Rookidee puffs up with an air full of SWAGGER. Insulted by this, the larger bird swats it down with a POWER TRIP. After it hits the ground below, hardly breaking its fall with the leaves, Remiel casts a Luxury Ball at it to capture it.[break][break]

Hunger strikes the Corviknight before long. As they are by the ocean's shore, it parts from Remiel briefly to try its talons at fishing. Before it long, it spots a carefree ALOMOMOLA near the water's surface.[break][break]

Hemingway descends quickly with its talons at the ready. The Alomomola spots him, however, and quickly dives away. Forced to come to an abrupt stop, the Corvinknight angrily caws before flying back to its trainer for some poffins instead.[break][break]

A PETILIL tries, in vain, to bury itself in the soil after the Corviknight spots it. It even accidentally scatters several WORRY SEED during its attempt. Nevertheless, the large crow descends to DRILL PECK it out from the earth.[break][break]

Before it can hope to turn the Petili into a snack, however, Remiel hurries onto the scene. The Petilil is, at least, thankful for the intervention of the human. It doesn't put up much of a resistance when he casts a Luxury Ball at it.[break][break]

Hemingway DRILL PECKS the stubborn APPLIN out of the tree it had tried to hide in. ASTONISHED, the wyrm squeals before plummeting to the forest ground below. It is only thanks to the soft soil that its apple shell remains intact.[break][break]

As soon as it reorients itself, it attempts to ROLLOUT and escape. A SCREECH from the Corviknight freezes it in place long enough for Remiel to pull out a Luxury Ball nearby. With one good throw, he captures the Applin in a flash of golden light.[break][break]

Perhaps the most difficult challenge Hemingway had to face today was facing himself. This, of course, was the result of a wild DITTO being allowed to TRANSFORM before the Corviknight could secure the win. What followed was fierce aerial combat between a Corviknight and its doppelganger.[break][break]

In the end, however, the original proves to be superior. A POWER TRIP after plenty of HONE CLAWS secures the win. Though, certainly, the battle had been drawn out for far longer than it would have liked. Afterward, Remiel captures the rogue Ditto with a Luxury Ball.[break][break]
